Joining us for PDR017 is Berlin based Scot, iFormat.

A name that should be familiar to anyone with an interest in the industrial side of techno. His tracks are unique, and instantly recognisable. Chris Page once described them as being more than tracks, as being works of art. He wasn't wrong.

iFormat has played at, and hosted nights in some of Europe's top clubs, and released on major labels within the scene, under this guise and many others.

Despite all of this, he doesn't get the recognition he deserves in his homeland. Scotland's loss is Berlin's gain.

For this release he delivers 3 original tracks, with a remix provided by another Scot, Duellist, making up the Death Whispers EP.

Kicking things off is Whispers of Death. A dark, brooding track. Twisted and distorted throughout. A sign of things to come.

Next up is The Touch of Death. A broken, nasty track. Over just under 6 minutes it evolves through noise, mutating drum and percussion patterns and foreboding pad sounds.

When Death is Seen Through Other Eyes is the most dance floor friendly of iFormat's tracks. It maintains the darker side of the others but delivers it in a way that you cannot help but dance to. This track will not disappoint.

Finally, Edinburgh's Duellist provides his remix of Whispers of Death. You can get a feel of the original in here, but Duellist has made this his own, a stand out track in its own right.

This release is the perfect antidote to the long summer nights. It drags you back into the darkness. Are you brave enough to go there?
